Björk exhibition to be held at New York's Museum of Modern Art
The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) recently added Björk’s Biophilia app to their permanent collection, now announcing a whole retrospective exhibition dedicated to the Icelandic musician.
The exhibition opens on 7 March 2015, running until 7 June 2015, and will “chronicle her career through sound, film, visuals, instruments, objects, costumes, and performance”.
“Björk is an extraordinarily innovative artist whose contributions to contemporary music, video, film, fashion, and art have had a major impact on her generation worldwide,” a press release reads. “This highly experimental exhibition offers visitors a direct experience of her hugely collaborative body of work.”
Björk’s Biophilia app is the first of its kind to be exhibited permanently at the museum.
