Billy Corgan announces experimental solo album AEGEA, costing $60
The Smashing Pumpkins may already be prepping two new albums for 2015, but that hasn’t stopped Billy Corgan from announcing a solo LP of his own too.
Throwing a series of ambient performances at Chicago tea shop Madame ZuZu’s recently, Corgan will now release AEGEA in the next “six to eight weeks”. It’s been described as “experimental in nature, and comes across as more a soundtrack to some lost foreign film than the kind of music I’m usually associated with”.
Feeling a bit baffled? Fear not, as Corgan adds that the record “has qualities that are both meditative and alien; but not alienating”. It will, however, cost you $59.95 plus shipping fees.
