Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Idris Elba, and more to play 10-hour charity show for Global Citizen Festival
Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Idris Elba, and many others will be taking part in a 10-hour charity show for Global Citizen Festival next year.
The concerts will be held across five continents in the space of one day, and will see the artists performing to fundraise to try and end worldwide poverty.
Global Citizen Festival will take place on 26 September 2020, featuring performances all over the world from Alicia Keys, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Cyndi Lauper, Eddie Vedder, H.E.R., Janelle Monáe, Lizzo, Metallica, Miley Cyrus, Muse, Ozuna, Ozzy Osbourne, Pharrell Williams, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shawn Mendes, Usher, Deborra-Lee Furness, Hugh Jackman, Idris Elba, and Jill Vedder.
The fundraising event will take place across 10 hours and five continents, with broadcasts being set up as far as NYC, Asia, Europe, Lagos, Nigeria, and Latin America.

Hugh Evans, CEO of Global Citizen, said of the event, "Our goal, to put it simply, is to engage every single person on the planet in this mission to end global poverty. To do so, we must boldly and creatively reach global citizens where they are: in person, on television, on their phones and online."
