Bill Callahan and his beautifully understated Americana proved the perfect finale for another remarkable weekend at End of the Road's Garden Stage.
The man formerly known as "Smog" enchanted those brave enough to endure the grim weather with his subtly orchestrated alt-country and an unmistakable voice shot through with world-weary melancholy.
His emotionally profound performance may have lacked the show-stopping antics of some of this weekend's other performers, but it may have encapsulated the original ethos of the festival more than any other.
Early-bird tickets for End of the Road Festival 2018 go on sale tomorrow from endoftheroadfestival.com.
