Bill Callahan and Bonnie "Prince" Billy announce new covers album Blind Date Party
Bill Callahan and Bonnie "Prince" Billy have announced Blind Date Party, a collection of covers that they've been sharing since autumn 2020.
Over the past year, Callahan and Bonnie "Prince" Billy have been collaborating on a series of covers with other musicians such as Matt Sweeney, Mick Turner, Meg Baird, Ty Segall, Six Organs of Admittance, Cory Hanson, Cassie Berman and more, and today (8 November) they've announced that those covers will be released as a collection titled Blind Date Party.
As well as announcing Blind Date Party, the duo have released a new cover of Scout Niblett's "Kidnapped By Neptune", featuring Hamerkop.
Their cover of "Kidnapped By Neptune" is the duo's first cover since teaming up with Sir Richard Bishop to cover John Prine’s "She is my Everything" in March.
