Big Jeff's family reveal he's "off the ventilator" and "conscious" following house fire
The family and art manager for Bristol's Big Jeff have provided another update on his condition following a house fire earlier this month, revealing that he's "off the ventilator" and "conscious".
Earlier this month Jeff Johns, known as Bristol live music legend Big Jeff, was "seriously injured" in a fire at his Bristol home and was in a "specialist burns unit in Swansea in a stable condition."
Last week his family and art manager updated his socials with a statement revealing that he was "stable in intensive care, but still under heavy sedation and unconscious whilst a series of procedures and skin grafts are beginning." The statement also revealed that he "is expected to remain in hospital for many months."
This afternoon (29 June) another new update was shared, revealing that Big Jeff has "made some good progress with his recovery over the weekend." His family and art manager also stated he's "now off the ventilator and is conscious," and that his "condition still remains very serious and we ask you all to continue to keep Jeff in your thoughts."
