Beyoncé & André 3000 to cover Amy Winehouse for 'Great Gatsby' film soundtrack
With it already announced that Jay-Z will take up the soundtracking reins for Baz Luhrmann’s new film, The Great Gatsby, it should come as little surprise that Beyoncé would be involved also. What does come as a surprise, however, is that she’s set to team up with André 3000 for a Amy Winehouse cover.
The Destiny’s Child singer (pictured above) and Outkast rapper will hook up for a rendition of the late singer’s classic track ‘Back To Black’.
E! Online reveal the news, saying it’ll be produced by Jay-Z himself, while an Interscope insider calls it a “very different take” on the song.
The film, based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel of the same name, will premiered this May at Cannes Film Festival.
