Beyoncé admits lip-syncing at Obama's inauguration
Beyoncé raised eyebrows many a time last month; firstly by performing a near-perfect rendition of the national anthem at President Obama’s inauguration, and then by appearing to be miming to a backing track.
But now, the pop singer has come out and addressed the issue in the build-up to this weekend’s Superbowl, which she will be performing at (actually live… but not with Destiny’s Child).
Speaking at a press conference, the star said:
“I am a perfectionist. I practice till my feet bleed. I didn’t have time to practice with the orchestra. So due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking the risk.
I will absolutely be singing live . I am well-rehearsed and I will be singing live. This is what I was born to do… I always sing live.”
