Best Fit is bringing Sportsman, Fanny Andersen and GKR to this month's Ja Ja Ja club night
On 26 October at London's The Lexington, we're teaming up with our long term loves Ja Ja Ja to bring you some fantastic new music from the Nordics: we're proud to present Sportsman, Fanny Andersen and GKR on what promises to be a wonderful night.
First up on the night will be Iceland's GKR; a terrific act from the heart of Reykjavik's rich hip hop scene, GKR raps energetically in his native tongue and his single "Morgunmatur" (taken from his debut EP) is an anthem that's as catchy as it is refreshingly unique. The Lexington show marks GKR's debut and it should be quite an experience.
The middle act will be Norway's Fanny Andersen. Fresh from a successful Vill Vill Vest appearance in Bergen where she played two packed shows, Andersen returns to the city where she performed her first ever gig with more experience, style and songs to prove exactly how much of a talent she really is. We've effused about Fanny here, here and here - so it's time you all came to see her in a small venue while you can.
Headlining the night is long-time Best Fit fave and Best Fit Recordings star Sportsman. Having finally released his beautiful Neverland album earlier in the year, we're looking forward to seeing Swede Per Magnusson perform his nostalgic, '80s-tinged music with modern R&B vibes in the flesh and it should be a stunning end to the evening.
We're proud of our commitment to new Nordic music, and just as proud of our ties to Ja Ja Ja. Come along and celebrate with us.
