Berlin club Festsaal Kreuzberg closed after blazing fire
-
Berlin club Festsaal Kreuzberg has been destroyed due to a blazing fire that happened this weekend.
Local paper the Berlinger Morgenpost has reported that a fire broke out around 9.00pm on Saturday evening and continued to burn through to 6.30am. No-one was seriously hurt as luckily, the incident happened before the doors were open to the public.
Approximately 300 firemen were required to contain the fire and to stop the potential spreading to neighbouring buildings in the densely packed neighbourhood. Photos of the damages can be found here.
The house and techno club owners have confirmed via their website that the 300 square-metre ballroom-like space will be closed until further notice, and from the photos of the devastation it looks like it will be closed for some time.
