Belle and Sebastian share new single "Nobody's Empire"
Scottish indie legends Belle and Sebastian are showing off the video for their brand new single "Nobody's Empire", following the recent disco-tinged ditty "The Party Line".
This is the second official single from the band's upcoming ninth LP Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, due 19 January on Matador.
Lead singer Stuart Murdoch says of the track, “it’s absolutely the most personal [song] I’ve ever written.”
The video for uses clips from the album cover shoot - with model/actor Tamzin Merchant "taking on the role of Stuart Murdoch in this tale of Murdoch’s health problems as a younger man" - as well as approximately 100 pieces of footage received from fans, and snippets from the Scottish Screen Archive at the National Library Of Scotland and the Prelinger Archives.
