Belle and Sebastian announce new double live album What to Look for in Summer
Belle and Sebastian have announced their new double live album What to Look for in Summer, a collection of recordings from their 2019 world tour.
To coincide with the live album announcement, Belle and Sebastian have released live videos of "The Boy With the Arab Strap" and "My Wandering Days Are Over".
Lead vocalist Stuart Murdoch says, "We'd been badgered by our fan base to put out recordings of the shows."
They looked at Yes’s Yessongs and Thin Lizzy’s Live and Dangerous albums for inspiration, and then put together What to Look for in Summer after the band's tour and new album recording plans were delayed due to COVID-19. Stevie Jackson says, "It was something to focus on. That was very, very nice." Sarah Martin adds, "It was quite nice to be doing that when we couldn't even see each other."
