Beabadoobee says every song on new album is in a "completely different world"
Beabadoobee has given an update on her forthcoming second album, and says that each song on the record is in a "completely different world."
Beabadoobee is currently on tour in the US, and in a new interview with Consequence of Sound, she spoke about her follow-up to last year's debut Fake It Flowers, revealing that she's "currently already finishing my second album that I’ve been working with my guitarist Jacob [Bugden] on, and it’s been really fun."
When asked about the sound of the new record, Beabadoobee responded, "I think the next record every single song is in a whole completely different world, I’ve never made such different songs in one piece of music before. It’s the first time where every single song you just can’t compare it to anything else from the record. There’re some songs where it’s just me and some songs where it’s very heavy. We reference a lot of music we were listening to at the time, Jacob and I."
On when the second album might be released, Beabadoobee said, "Yeah, sometime in 2022. Obviously you’ve got to wait a little bit longer, but we’re working on it and we’ve worked really hard on this record, so we’re trying to take our time."
