Barackin' in the free world: President Obama shares summer playlists
U.S. President Barack Obama has shared two playlists to celebrate the summer due to "popular request".
Obama's famously got a taste for sweet sounds, and has been seen crooning Otis Redding tunes at the White House. Perhaps the inclusion of lots of classic soul on the lists comes as no surprise, but the Prez's fondness for Okkervil River and Lianne La Havas is interesting.
The lists also include tracks by Lauryn Hill, Mos Def, The Lumineers, Miles Davis, Coldplay, Erykah Badu, Beyoncé, Nappy Roots, Marley, Dylan, and more. They're pretty great, and Obama's rep as a Head Of State with great taste remains unscathed.
Check out both playlists below via Spotify.
