Barack Obama is now a Billboard-charting artist
Former US President Barack Obama can add "charted artist" to his CV after appearing on Hamildrop single "One Last Time (44 Remix)".
"One Last Time (44 Remix)" is part of Hamildrops, which is a single series inspired by Hamilton a Broadway hit musical written, and composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The final entry of the song series is "One Last Time (44 Remix)", which was released last month, and is performed by Barack Obama, alongside original Hamilton cast member Christopher Jackson, and Grammy-winning gospel artist BeBe Winan.
"One Last Time (44 Remix)" landed at number 22 on Billboard's Hot R&B Songs chart, which Consequence of Sound reports is due to the 307,000 streams and 9,000 downloads during its first week.
According to Billboard, Obama has actually appeared in two other Billboard charts before, including the "now-defunct" TV DVD Sales tally in March 2009 for his number six position with A Moment in History: The Inauguration of Barack Obama, as well as his contributions to "Pop Off," by JX Cannon, which reached number 10 on Billboard & Twitter's Emerging Artists in December 2015.
