Banks covers Aaliyah's “Are You That Somebody”

Touching Aaliyah’s back-catalogue is always risky business. We’ve already seen both Drake and Chris Brown alike criticised for their posthumous collaborations with the late singer, but now Banks has thrown caution to the wind by covering the R&B star’s “Are You That Somebody”.

The L.A native has taken on the track for BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge, also rustling up an acoustic version of her latest single “Brain”. You can listen to both those renditions beneath.
