Bad Sounds try to embrace their own personalities on new single "Permanent"
Bristol's Bad Sounds have returned with bright new track "Permanent", lifted from their forthcoming EP Escaping From A Violent Time Vol. 1.
"Permanent" is the third single to be shared from Bad Sounds' new EP, after last year's "Breathe" and "Sympathetic Vibrations".
The band says of their new offering, "It’s primarily about acceptance - learning how to accept your own shortcomings, and your own personality. Sometimes I feel like I just mirror the people around me in social situations, and started to worry that I didn’t even really have a personality of my own."
Escaping From A Violent Time Vol. 1 will be Bad Sounds' first collection of tracks since releasing their debut album Get Better last year.
The EP was written and recorded in an underground former prison cell in Bristol, and is produced by the Merrett brothers themselves. Comparing the album to the EP, the Merrett brothers say, "We wanted Get Better to feel as optimistic and timeless as possible, so we wanted Escaping From A Violent Time to feel more visceral, and of this moment."
