Azealia Banks shares screenshots of fight with Grimes after Elon Musk's $420 tweet
Azealia Banks has shared screenshots of a fight over text with Grimes, sent a few days after Elon Musk's $420 tweet.
Last year Elon Musk tweeted, "Am considering taking Tesla private at $420. Funding secured", an inside joke between him and his then-girlfriend Grimes.
Azealia Banks was brought into the mix as she claimed to be trapped in Musk's mansion waiting for Grimes to collaborate around the same time as Musk's tweet in question, which you can read in more detail over at Consequence of Sound. She also shared a series of screenshots with messages between her and Grimes.
Earlier this month, Tesla shareholders were trying to get Grimes and Azealia Banks subpoenaed in the hope they could provide new evidence with their messages to Elon Musk's lawsuit. The judge has since ordered Grimes and Banks to keep hold of all Twitter, Instagram, and text messages relating to the tweet.
Now Banks has revealed to the world the fiery text messages between her and Grimes, just nine days after Musk's tweet in question. The conversation is a series of insults thrown at one another, including Grimes calling Banks a "narc" repeatedly, with Banks later responding, "Ok you brittleboned methhead".

Billboard reported that Banks previously apologised to Musk following the dramatic events. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Banks apologised, "for all of the painful events you’ve endured over the past week, as I feel as though my actions have largely exacerbated them."
Earlier this month she seemed to threaten Musk again after news of her subpoena got out. The Guardian reports she posted to Instagram, "They are still slighting me like I don’t have plenty more dirt to spill on Elon. This is going to get extremely ugly … Elon will learn very soon who is more powerful of us two."
