Arlo Parks releases heartfelt new single "Hope"
Ahead of Arlo Park's debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams arriving tomorrow (29 January), the singer/songwriter has released a final taster of the record called "Hope".
"Hope" follows Arlo Park's earlier singles "Caroline", "Green Eyes", "Hurt", "Black Dog" and "Eugene", and is teamed with a heartwarming music video directed by Molly Burdett.
Of the video, Arlo Parks says, "This video to me is a warm, vibrant exploration of friendship and introversion. I think there’s something so powerful about the saturated, filmic textures, the human portraits and depictions of euphoria."
She adds of the song, "The song surrounds isolation, being present in your pain and knowing that you’re not the only one on the planet feeling low. I think especially in times like these it’s important to focus on the inevitability that things will get better."
As well as releasing her own material over the past year, Arlo Parks has collaborated with Fraser T. Smith on his Future Utopia project, featured on Glass Animals' "Tangerine", linked with Phoebe Bridgers for a Radiohead cover, and more.
Last week she also announced a new live special titled Tonight With Arlo Parks, which takes place tomorrow (29 January) evening and will feature guest appearances from Glass Animals, The xx's Romy and more.
