Arctic Monkeys win Mastercard British Album of The Year at Brit Awards 2014
Arctic Monkeys win the award for Mastercard British Album of The Year at this year’s Brit Awards.
Shortlisted alongside Bastille, David Bowie, Disclosure and Rudimental, Artic Monkeys collected their award on stage this evening saying “That rock n’ roll aye? It just won’t go away. It might hibernate from time to time, sink back into the swamp, but it’s always waiting there, just around the corner, waiting to make its way back through. To smash through the glass ceiling, looking better than ever. It’ll never die, and there’s nothing you can do about it. Thank you very f-cking much for this. Invoice me for the microphone if you need to.”
