Arcade Fire's new album Everything Now is out next month
Arcade Fire have finally unveiled the final studio version of new single "Everything Now", which appears on a new album of the same name.
Sacred Egg directs the accompanying visuals for "Everything Now".
The album is produced by Arcade Fire with Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter and Pulp's Steve Mackey, with co-production from Markus Dravs (Mumford and Sons, Coldplay). It's been recorded at Boombox in New Orleans, Sonovox in Montreal, and Gang Recording Studio in Paris. The LP is set to arrive via usual formats - plus cassette - and the vinyl edition will be available in 20 different artwork variants, each corresponding to a different language.
Earlier today the Canadian indie titans unveiled a "live" stream from Death Valley - not much has really happened, but they've clearly been gearing up to something big for a while. This week has been hella busy for Arcade Fire - as well as the promise of a new song (which is on sale at Barcelona fest Primavera and was aired briefly yesterday), we got maybe an album title and artwork, spontaneous live dates, bizarre clues and cryptic teasers galore, a new record label deal, plus - potentially - a fake Russian spambot oozing shrouded hints.
The band's Reflektor follow up has been in the works a while, and was reportedly near the final stages earlier this year (although a supposed April release date came and went with nary a peep).
Arcade Fire have lots of live dates planned for this summer, starting at Primavera this weekend. Find out more.
