Arcade Fire lead a parade honouring David Bowie through New Orleans
Arcade Fire have honoured David Bowie by leading a memorial parade through the streets of New Orleans.
Bowie passed away 10 January following an 18-month battle with cancer shortly after his 69th birthday and the release of 25th studio album Blackstar.
The Preservation Hall Jazz Band helped Arcade Fire along the route - as did many of Bowie's fans - as they pumped out horn-splattered versions of Bowie's belters.
Arcade Fire and Bowie worked together on "Reflektor", the title track from the Canadian titans' latest LP.
Last week the band paid tribute to Bowie on Facebook:
"David Bowie was one of the band's earliest supporters and champions. He not only created the world that made it possible for our band to exist, he welcomed us into it with grace and warmth. We will take to the grave the moments we shared; talking, playing music and collaborating as some of the most profound and memorable moments of our lives. A true artist even in his passing, the world is more bright and mysterious because of him, and we will continue to shout prayers into the atmosphere he created."
