
Arcade Fire debut new song "Generation A" during Stephen Colbert's Election Night show
Last night (3 November) Arcade Fire debuted new song "Generation A" during their performance on Stephen Colbert's Election Night 2020 programme.
Lead vocalist Win Butler has been teasinng fans with snippets of new material since the pandemic began, but last night (3 November) Arcade Fire finally debuted a new song.
Titled "Generation A", Arcade Fire's new song is inspired by the current climate in the US, and the performance was aired on Election Day as part of Stephen Colbert's Election Night 2020 programme.
Butler gave an update on Arcade Fire's recording plans last month while speaking to Rick Rubin on the Broken Record podcast. Butler said the band were planning to go "back to Texas to make the next record, during the election - so that’ll be fun."
The band are yet to follow up their 2017 album Everything Now.
