Arcade Fire cover Harry Styles' "As It Was"
Arcade Fire performed a cover of Harry Styles' latest single "As It Was" as part of a BBC session at Maida Vale Studios.
Following the release of Arcade Fire's WE album last week, the band recorded a live session at BBC's Maida Vale Studios, and performed tracks from the new record including "Age of Anxiety II (Rabbit Hole)", "The Lightning I" and "II", as well as a cover of Harry Styles' most recent single "As It Was".
Last week Arcade Fire's Win Butler spoke about his brother Will Butler leaving Arcade Fire for the first time. He told Zane Lowe, "I mean, I love Will. I mean, he’s my brother. He’s my only brother and he’s always had interests that transcend music. I think that he sort of followed his big brother into this band. It was his first job. I can’t really speak for him but this pandemic was… He’s got three young children, and Regine and I are able to bring our child on the road. But I think that if I wasn’t, there’s things way more important than music, so I mean… my brother has his own path."
