Arcade Fire have composed a new 45-minute song called "Memories of the Age of Anxiety", which is available via the meditation app Headspace.

"Memories of the Age of Anxiety" is the group's first new original music since debuting "Generation A" during Stephen Colbert’s Election Night show inn November last year.

Yesterday (14 April), Arcade Fire shared news of their new song, which according to Pitchfork, is 45-minutes-long, and is available exclusively on the meditation app Headspace.

Last September Arcade Fire's Win Butler gave an update on Arcade Fire's recording plans while speaking to Rick Rubin on the Broken Record podcast. Butler said the band were planning to go "back to Texas to make the next record, during the election - so that’ll be fun."

The band are yet to follow up their 2017 album Everything Now.

Arcade Fire's "Memories of the Age of Anxiety" song is available on the Headspace app now.
