Apple have revealed they’re set to launch their own online radio service.
The company is currently in talks with various record labels about launching an ad-sponsored product similar to that of Pandora.
Bloomberg report that the service could be up and running as early as March 2013.
“Radio is a natural step for Apple,” analyst Rich Greenfield said. “This helps Apple dominate in cars, where people listen to an average of two hours of radio a day.”
Pandora, although immensely popular in the United States, has failed to expand to the UK and rest of the world due to licence disagreements.
