Apple introduces new Time to Walk watch series featuring Dolly Parton and Shawn Mendes
Apple has introduced its new audio walking experience series Time to Walk, which features monologues from the likes of Dolly Parton and Shawn Mendes.
Apple Watch's Time to Walk feature is accessible for Fitness+ subscribers, and features "personal, life shaping moments" from across their lives, accompanied by a playlist of songs after their talks.
Dolly Parton and Shawn Mendes are the first two music-related celebrities to be added to the feature, and according to CNN, Parton discusses her Tennessee farm, the backstory to her biggest songs and more. The other two Time to Walk celebrities are NBA player Draymond Green, and Uzo Aduba.
Parton said of walking, "I’ve loved walking ever since I was a little girl in the Smoky Mountains. I think it’s so important to be able to get out and walk if we can during this time. I do my best thinking when I walk. And while many of us feel confined during this time, I’m hopeful that people will take a walk down memory lane with me and we can all feel a little more freedom taking the time to walk together."
According to The Verge, each celebrity recorded their monologues/talks while they walked in a space that was meaningful to them.
Episodes of Apple's new Time to Walk series will automatically download to Fitness+ subscribers' Apple Watches, with new walks to be added every Monday until the end of April, and Apple has said the new feature is supposed to display photos on your Apple Watch timed to moments in each celebrity story.
