Annie injects new tune "Dadaday" with slick Eurodance melodies
Norway's Annie has unfurled "Dadaday", a new track from her upcoming EP Endless Vacation.
"Dadaday" takes a few notes from the early-'00s europop/trance movements, with gigantic plastic beats infecting your noggin and candy-coated hooks jamming themselves deep under your skin. It's like Annie's challenged herself to make a track even the stoniest hearts won't be able to resist.
Annie will release her Endless Vacation EP on 16 October via Pleasure Masters. She's produced it with frequent collaborator Richard X, and it features contributions from Jim Eliot (Kylie, Foxes), Stefan Storm (The Sound Of Arrows), and Hannah Robinson (Ladyhawke, Say Lou Lou).
It follows the EP's first single "Cara Mia". Annie last released a studio record in 2009 - Don't Stop - although she did release an EP in 2013.
