Animal Collective's Avey Tare plays first show with new band 'Slasher Flicks'
Animal Collective man Avey Tare has debuted his new new side-project involving ex-Dirty Projectors member Angel Deradoorian and former Ponytail drummer Jeremy Hyman.
An experimental supergroup of sorts, the band are going by the name of Slasher Flicks. They played their first show in Baltimore last night (6 June) and already some impressively high-quality footage has surfaced online.
You can watch a clip from that show below:
They’ll play a further handful of shows later this month, including outings in London, Brighton and the Deerhunter-curated ATP festival in Camber Sands.
