Animal Collective release live album, share new version of "Did You See The Words"
Animal Collective have announced the release of a new live album Live at 9:30, which is out now.
The album is the band's first of a single show, and was recorded on 12 June 2013 at the climax of a sold-out three-night residency of Washington D.C. venue 9:30.
Speaking about what the venue means to them, the band's Geologist says: “Growing up in Baltimore, we’ve been seeing shows at 9:30 for over 20 years, back to when the building was called WUST. First time was Pavement in 1994. Always one of our favorite places to see shows, and always one of the most fun places to play a show. Unless the power goes out.”
You can buy the limited edition hand-numbered 3xLP boxset now - it ships "immediately" and you get an instant download of the LP to enjoy while you wait. It's out digitally on 4 September through Domino.
Animal Collective have also revealed their shiny new website.
