Animal Collective deliver new single "Walker"
Animal Collective have released new track "Walker" as the second preview of their first album in over five years Time Skiffs.
"Walker" is the second track to be lifted from Animal Collective's Time Skiffs album, following October's lead outing "Prester John".
While speaking to Zane Lowe on his Apple Music 1 show, Noah Lennox said of the song, "Mostly "Walker" is a tribute to Scott Walker who passed away around the time I began writing the song. Scott’s music has meant a lot to me and he’ll always be a big inspiration. But there’s also a kind of exhaustion and resignation to the singer of “Walker” that belies a darker layer."
Time Skiffs will follow Animal Collective's 2016 album Painting With. It was recorded throughout 2020, and was mixed by Marta Salogni.
