Angel Olsen to release second part of All Mirrors album later this year
Angel Olsen has confirmed that she intends to release the second part of her All Mirrors album later this year.
All Mirrors landed in October 2018, and on Saturday (4 January), Angel Olsen confirmed to Binaural that she will release the second half of her latest record.
As Binaural notes, Olsen recorded the released half of All Mirrors with a 12-piece orchestra. The second half of the LP is intended to be an acoustic, intimate record.
Olsen told Binaural, "It will probably come out in autumn, and I hope to do another solo tour because it gives me the opportunity to compose and reflect on some things. The same songs of All Mirrors will obviously be presented on the LP. I like to see it and understand it as the polarised version of what you have already heard."
Speaking to Best Fit last year about All Mirrors, Olsen revealed that she started the record on her own, before reimagining the LP with the orchestra. She said, "I originally did the thing I wanted to do, which was to go back to my roots, something like Strange Cacti or Half Way Home. Then I was ‘OK, now I’m going to free up all this energy to do this other thing'."
