Ane Brun announce new record When I'm Free, shares trailer and new UK/Ireland dates
Stockholm-based Norwegian songwriter Ane Brun has announced a brand new record titled When I'm Free, shared its trailer, and announced a handful of live shows in the UK and Ireland.
The record was conceived after the "enforced cancellation" of a tour of North America with Peter Gabriel in 2012, Brun said she had an "epiphany" about various health issues she'd been struggling with: “One night I woke up and thought, ‘Why are you so afraid? It doesn’t help you in any way. Let your mind and body rest so it can heal.’ When I recovered, I experienced an almost bliss-like feeling. I’d replaced all the worrying and fear with gratitude, and the feeling lingered. So somehow, since 2012, I’ve been able to approach life very differently than before.”
Tobias Fröberg has co-produced the record with Brun.
When I'm Free is released 4 September. It follows 2011's It All Starts With One, although Brun has released various rarities, live and hits collections since.
