Andrew W.K. parties hard as a bandit radio DJ in new videogame add-on
Hard-partyin' punk-rocker Andrew W.K. voices a radio DJ in Nuka-World, the new add-on for Bethesda's post-apocalyptic videogame Fallout 4.
W.K. lends his vocal talents to the character of RedEye, a DJ at the local radio station... but it's not just any radio station - it's Raider Radio, which soundtracks an abandoned theme park teeming with psychopathic bandits and outlaws.
Unlike other radio stations in the game, this one doesn't feature songs from the real world. Instead it boasts a healthy list of violence-inspired tall tales from W.K. and his twangy guitar.
Speaking about how he came to voice the character, W.K. says:
"One night, I had a dream that I had experienced an apocalyptic event and somehow survived. It was like a nightmare, only I was actually able to have some fun in this horrifying land, and even though my surroundings were pretty bleak and desolate, I was still partying. Less than a week after I had that vision, I was contacted by the Bethesda team and asked if I wanted to do a voice for the game. The craziest part was, before I was even told what game it was for, I had this strange premonition that it was part of the Fallout series."
