anaiis returns with first single of 2021 "juno"
French-Senegalese artist anaiis has returned with her first single of 2021 "juno".
"juno" follows anaiis' COLORS performance of "Vanishing" that arrived in December 2020, and is accompanied by a Julianknxx-directed visual that reflects the personal nature of the song.
Ahead of its release today (15 April), anaiis wrote on Instagram, "I’ve been learning it’s okay not to be okay sometimes. I am now ready to invite you into my process."
She told FACT Mag, "When writing this song, I was looking for glimpses of solace whilst searching for ways to see beyond the confines of my thoughts and to find the little crack where I felt I had choice again. I wrote about being okay with not being okay, it’s not always easy to make space for ourselves when we are feeling so very low."
She's yet to follow up her 2019 debut album darkness at play.
