Yola Carter, Danni Nicholls, and Wildwood Kin lead the British invasion of AmericanaFest
Some of the UK's best Americana artists will be performing at this year's AmericanaFest in Nashville, Tennessee.
Yola Carter, Wildwood Kin, and Danni Nicholls are among the names representing the British Isles at next month's fest at the fifth annual Bootleg BBQ in Nashville on Saturday 16 September - joined by US artists, Erin Rae & The Meanwhiles, Courtney Marie Andrews, and Angaleena Presley.
"AmericanaFest 2016 was an incredible launch pad for me," says Carter. "Since I performed last year I’ve won artist of the year at the AMAUK Awards, toured the UK, Europe and Canada, playing international festivals and planning the international release of my debut album. British Underground and their team help propel British artists onto the international stage and its great to be able to support them again this year."
The British Underground has partnered with the Americana Music Association for the shows, which takes place at The Groove record store in East Nashville. BBC Radio's Baylen Leonard hosts the showcase.
We are excited to be curating the indoor stage, with two secret shows from big-name US stars (details announced next week). Check out the poster below for more info.
