AlunaGeorge runners-up in BBC Sound of 2013 poll
London R&B duo AlunaGeorge have been announced as second place in this year’s BBC Sound poll.
The annual list heralds the big names in new music and is voted for b1y the UK’s top journalists, broadcasters, tastemakers and bloggers.
The electronic act and Best Fit faves were announced today (3 January) as runners-up, above CHVRCHES, Laura Mvula and Angel Haze who came 5th, 4th and 3rd respectively.
The twopiece were also recently nominated for the BRITs Critics Choice award.
Last year’s winner Michael Kiwanuka joined the likes of Jessie J and Adelein having topped the list.
The likes of The Weeknd, Savages, HAIM and King Krule remain in this year’s nominations.
The winner will be announced tomorrow (4 January).
