Alternate version of MF DOOM's "Dead Bent" video being released as an NFT today
An alternate version of MF DOOM’s "Dead Bent" music video by director Adam Bhala Lough is being auctioned off as a non-fungible token later today (28 April).
Since MF DOOM's passing was announced at the end of last year, multiple NFT auctions related to MF DOOM's masks have taken place, and today (28 April) an alternate version of DOOM's "Dead Bent" video, directed by Adam Bhala Lough is being released as an NFT.
As Pitchfork reports, Lough claims that he and the colorist of the remastered version are the only people to have seen the alternate "Dead Bent" video.
Half of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to MF DOOM's estate, and it has a starting price of 99 Ether, which is worth over £192,000.
On top of receiving the NFT, the highest bidder will get physical items too, including the original 16mm film negative, documentation from the shoot, and the original 16mm film canister label.
