An alternative Frasier theme tune has appeared online and it sounds exactly like The National
Remember Frasier, the 90s US sitcom that had a theme tune about tossing a salad? Someone's just delivered a cover of it, with an uncanny resemblance to The National.
Twitter user Bobby Lord has uploaded the alternate Frasier theme tune, which sees him imitate Matt Berninger's sombre tone over a near "Bloodbuzz Ohio" melody.
One user, Chris Berube from the Underdog podcast, replied to Lord's upload, "Bobby I feel like you (and the National) really capture the spirit of Seattle’s favourite radio therapist!"
Wow, the boys in @TheNational have done it again. This cover is gorgeous. pic.twitter.com/FINXEcpSU8

Towards the tail end of last year it was revealed that a new podcast based on The National would be arriving early this year. Coffee & Flowers' first season is set to explore The National's Boxer record.
The group have been tucked away working on their eighth record, which Berninger revealed in April 2018 to be "more than halfway done".
In December 2018 Berninger teamed up with Julien Baker and Stephan Altman for "All I Want", which is out as a physical 7" to raise money for Planned Parenthood.
