Alt-J, Emeli Sandé, Calvin Harris & more win Ivor Novello Awards
The renowned Ivor Novello Awards have revealed the winners of their 2013 ceremony.
The awards, which heralds songwriting talent and “excellence in music writing”, were hosted today (16 May) at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Among the winners were Emeli Sandé for ‘Best Song’ and ‘Most Performed Work’, Alt-J picking up the album prize for An Awesome Wave and The Maccabees for ‘Best Contemporary Song’. Elsewhere, Bush’s Gavin Rossdale picked up the ‘International Achievement Award’ and Calvin Harris was awarded ‘Songwriter of the Year’
