ALMA announces debut album, shares infectious lead single "When I Die"
Finland's ALMA returns with news of her long-awaited debut album Have You Seen Her, announced alongside new pop banger "When I Die".
Last week ALMA shared a short snippet of her new single "When I Die" on socials, her first single of 2019, and first since last year's "Cowboy".
The full version of the single is finally here. ALMA says, "This song was born from a big conversation about when and how we leave the world is so out of our control. We spend so much time worrying about things out of our control, we’re always trying to be better, richer, more successful. We rarely appreciate the moments in front of us. Go to the party, blow your money (even if you have work tomorrow) you will survive!"
"When I Die" lands with visuals showing a gothic last supper-inspired party, which ALMA explains, "I wanted the video to look like our last party, what might the night look like if we knew this was it."
ALMA's debut record Have You Seen Her will be her first collection of tracks since 2018's Heavy Rules Mixtape EP, which featured tracks with MØ, Tove Styrke, and Kiiara. Elsewhere the Finnish musician has collaborated with French Montana and Charli XCX.
