Allie X recruits Troye Sivan for powerful new ballad "Love Me Wrong"
Allie X has teamed up with Troye Sivan on her powerful new ballad "Love Me Wrong".
"Love Me Wrong" arrives after Allie X's earlier singles "Regulars", "Rings A Bell", and "Fresh Laundry".
The new song is co-written by Allie X, Sivan, and Leland and Bram Inscore, and is lifted from her forthcoming album Cape God.
Discussing the new single, Allie X says, "It is a song about being misunderstood by your family or loved ones. You know that you they love you, but not for the full person you are. The relationship between a parent and child is so intense and layered, that it was liberating to put it into the simple phrase 'you love me wrong' and repeat it over and over in the chorus of this song."
"Love Me Wrong" is Sivan's first feature since tewaming up with Charli XCX on "2099" in September.
Cape God will follow on from Allie X's 2018 album Super Sunset.
