Alison Mosshart shares debut solo single "Rise"
The Kills singer Alison Mosshart has shared her debut solo single "Rise".
Mosshart, best known as one half of The Kills and the singer of The Dead Weather, has decided to release some solo material, and the first taste - "Rise" - has dropped today.
She decided to use her time in isolation to teach herself video editing, and has put together the visual for "Rise".
It was recorded and featured in the closing credits song to Facebook Watch drama series Sacred Lies.
Although the track has only been released today, Mosshart started writing the single back in 2013. She says, "I didn’t ever forget it. I remember right where I was when I wrote it, sitting at my desk in London, missing someone badly."
