Alice Boman returns with new single "Wake Me Up"
Swedish singer/songwriter Alice Boman has returned with new single "Wake Me Up".
"Wake Me Up" is Boman's first new outing since releasing her debut album Dream On in January.
Although the track didn't feature on Dream On, "Wake Me Up" was written and recorded with producer Patrik Berger towards the end of her album sessions.
Speaking about the new single, Boman says, "This song was made during the same time that producer Patrik Berger and I were doing the finishing touches on Dream On. One day I was trying out one of Patriks old synths and came up with a melody and some lyrics that Patrik then started jamming some bass to. We really liked how it sounded and decided to record it straight away. And then it went fast. I love when that happens. Simplicity. When you capture something in the moment, a certain feeling. That’s why I like this song very much. It brings me back to that moment. And at the same time, when I listen to it now, it feels like it fits these strange times we are in now really well too - Tell me it’s a bad dream."
The new track will feature on the final season of Netflix show Trinkets alongside Dream On track "Don’t Forget About Me".
