Algiers announce new London shows and continental dates
Fired-up soul rockers Algiers have announced a spray of new shows across Europe for later this year.
We spoke to the trio earlier this year about latest single "But She Was Not Flying", with frontman Franklin James Fisher saying: “I have had seven friends that were murdered. Senselessly. The song “But She Was Not Flying” is dedicated to a friend of mine who was shot and killed that I grew up with... the lyrics there came from a rant that I had in my head at work one day, thinking about the situations that fostered all this random violence to seven people that I knew and loved."
The band's self-titled LP is out now on Matador.
Have a listen to "But She Was Not Flying" below. Check out next month's European dates afterwards.
