Alfie Templeman previews debut album with third single "Leaving Today"
Alfie Templeman has unveiled new track "Leaving Today", which is the third outing from his upcoming debut album Mellow Moon.
"Leaving Today" follows previous singles "Broken" and "3D Feelings", and is co-produced by Templeman and Jungle's Tom McFarland.
Templeman says of the new release, ""Leaving Today" was written about what it would be like to go on tour again after so long. Getting far away from home and sitting in that van for hours thinking about all the small things you never realised you missed so much. It’s the first song I’ve played Cello on, I tried to layer up multiple different parts as if it was a mini orchestra of terrible cello players! Tom was super encouraging with the Cello stuff, and he added some really gorgeous production, all the oohs you hear at the start are him."
Mellow Moon will follow last year's debut mini-album Forever Isn't Long Enough. On Mellow Moon, the self-taught musician plays 11 instruments, and is also heavily involved with production and co-production duties.
