Alfa Mist announces new album with mellow lead cut "Run Outs"
Alfa Mist has announced his fourth solo album Bring Backs, alongside delivering the mellow lead single "Run Outs".
"Run Outs" is teamed with a visual directed by Johny Pitts, and marks Alfa Mist's first outing since contributing a rework of Eddie Henderson's "Galaxy" to last year's Blue Note Re:imagined compilation album.
Alfa Mist explains of the track, ""Run Outs" is a street game I remember playing when I was younger. I used to think of making beats and playing with a band as separate worlds until I realised I was always trying to achieve the same thing. Making the music I want to make. With the song "Run Outs" I'm bringing together the vibe of my earliest beats with where I'm at today."
Bring Backs will follow last year's Epoch collaborative album with Emmavie, and marks his first album for ANTI-.
Alfa Mist wrote produced the entire album, which was recorded in London with longtime collaborators Jamie Leeming (guitar), Kaya Thomas-Dyke (bass and vocals), Jamie Houghton (drums) and Johnny Woodham (trumpet).
