Alex Lahey returns with new single "Spike The Punch"
Alex Lahey has announced her signing to Liberation Records, and celebrates the news with a new single titled "Spike The Punch".
"Spike The Punch" is the first new solo outing from the Melbourne-based musician since contributing "On My Way" to Netflix's The Mitchells vs. the Machines soundtrack in May, and coincides with Lahey's signing to Liberation Records.
Lahey says of the new song, which she produced alongside John Castle, ""Spike the Punch" is a song about the fun that comes with self-sabotage and reckless abandon. It's big, it's loud, it's fun, it's its own beast. There are some super sinister tones in there rubbing up against really bright anime style guitar harmonies (guitarmonies, anyone?..) and shouted choruses. Spike feels like a raucous bookend to navigating these cruelly unpredictable times. Touch wood."
Back in February Lahey also collaborated with Gordi on "Dino's".
