Alex Lahey details debut album I Love You Like A Brother
Melbourne-based artist Alex Lahey has announced her debut record I Love You Like A Brother and shared lead single "Every Day's The Weekend".
The former Animaux member signed to Dead Oceans earlier this year and blew our minds with the impressive "Wes Anderson" from the reissue of debut EP B-Grade University.
"Every Day's The Weekend" is another hyped-up blitz, with Lahey's rapid-fire riffs and punk percussion backing hooks that'd sound at home on a Charli XCX record. It's bright and brash and brimming with devil-may-care charm - if this is what the rest of I Love You Like A Brother is gonna sound like then we're in for an almighty treat.
Lahey is trekking up to the northern hemisphere for a run of European shows - she'll hit Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, and London while visiting the UK in November. Find out full details.
