Alex G unfurls new cut "Kicker", asks fans if he can crash at theirs while on tour

Giannascoli was on our list of Ones To Watch in late 2014 as we looked ahead to the coming year.

Speaking about the new release in a press statement, Giannascoli said: "every song is coming from a different place. It branches off in all these directions, but it has its own sound. It's not something I do intentionally, but I'm the common thread."

Beach Music is out 9 October. It's his seventh record since 2010, and follows last year's DSU, which was released by Lucky Number to significant acclaim. Pre-orders via Bandcamp come with a limited edition cassette version of the album, with vinyl pre-orders coming with an exclusive bootleg LP called Alex G Live At The Headroom. As usual, the album was written and recorded in Giannascoli's apartment over the course of a few months.
